Paul started cycling in his early 20s and quickly became hooked on riding and going faster and farther. He began racing shortly thereafter, finding it suited his competitive nature and boundless energy. He is most proud of the following accomplishments:

Paul Ozier recognizes the athletes he works
with are his customers. His athlete’s goals become his goals. He
understands each athlete is different and responds differently to ideas,
techniques, and training loads. Paul designs a custom training plan that
works for each unique athlete taking into consideration the athlete’s
goals and time constraints. Paul is responsive, anticipates athletes’
needs, reviews athletes’ power files, and provides feedback.
In addition to quality training, Paul believes nutrition, recovery, and quality sleep make for a stronger, faster cyclist. Each of these areas must be addressed and trained for those athletes desiring to be the best they can be. For these athletes, coaching and training is year round. This is because slacking during the fall and winter puts a cyclist back at the same starting point as the previous spring. Athletes training year round are able to continue to build from where they left off in the fall instead of having to get into shape again. The old saying that summer races are won with winter training is true. Fall/winter training is crucial for athletes wanting to get to the next level whether that means a new personal best in your favorite century, moving up a category, or winning a championship. As a coach, Paul feels successful when he hears an athlete tell him how much faster they feel, how they kicked butt at the Thursday night world cup ride, how they set a new personal best, or how they placed higher than ever before in a race and stood on the podium. Paul knows cycling has to be fun even during the hard parts. He gives athletes the “how, when, and why” and expects athletes to give back “focus, commitment, and hard work”. This teamwork ensures success.
